After 56 hours, completing the game on the hardest difficulty, scouring everything it had to offer and essentially getting all achievements (sans one which is just a minor fetch quest that I haven't been able to trigger despite waiting 30 in-game days which takes almost an hour [of which I spent passing turns since there isn't a mechanic to speedup time]), I can safely say that the game is...
Regarding the first game: I don't know why they went for a turn based RPG system when the original game's tech-based progression and real time nature gave the original a much more fitting survival feel.
(Oh, and the game's visuals are nice, equipped items show up on your character's sprite, and I ran into no bugs whatsoever, so Subterrain: Mines of Titan is pretty well done overall.)
Sound- Sound effects are functional, music is good but mostly ambient.
