The roguelite part comes from the campaign mode, where you’ll be playing matches against increasingly stronger opponents, each match earns you money to use on either permanent robot upgrades or to unlock mods as possible run rewards from matches, as losing a match will make you start over again.
Endless mode however has that full-on roguelike-arcade feel if you don’t care about progression and just want to jump straight into the full experience instead of a slow buildup.
All that said, I am going to keep playing for sure, and I'm excited to try co-op.
+Visuals are charming
Unfortunately I haven't been able to sit with my friends and play couch co-op yet but the ability to play pvp or pve with a friend is so awesome.
I just wish I had a steam deck to play this on!!
