What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Progression between runs is structured in a way that respects both player effort and roguelike unpredictability.
The muted color palette, candlelit textures, and weathered character portraits create an atmosphere that conveys exhaustion rather than triumph.
Controller support (including wireless Dualshock 4) is functional but its much easier to navigate the UI with a mouse.
Audio/Music/SFX are almost all between fine and strong, with the exceptions of the Jester’s “voice acting” needing another take and a sharp string instrument effect in the soundtrack that is a bit too loud.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
