But I wasn't expecting such an utterly endearing cast of space critters, with a story that constantly surprised and charmed me while mixing up the puzzles in new ways.

Sunshine, it turns out, is a sandbox puzzle game, a tastefully balanced hybrid of several other puzzle/sandbox archetypes that, by virtue of the unique sweet spot it strikes between extremes, really stands out and deserves your attention.

Graphics are pretty nice, but at some times I did feel that the UI became bit hard to read with the lack of icons for everything to reliably locate without having to read.

Paired with a calm, lo-fi-inspired soundtrack, the overall atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, encouraging long sessions of quiet problem-solving without pressure.

Really short game, but it's fantastic if you're the sort that likes to figure out optimization solutions.

I've played through a few hours so far and I'd recommend this game to anyone who likes puzzlers, builders, or even cute dialogue - the difficulty floor is low enough that anyone can pick it up, but dedicated puzzle-solvers will love making the "perfect" ship.
