I do like other aspects of the game though, like the platforming feels nice, The two special weapons are cool and add a lot of variety on how to kill enemies (i really like the gauntlets), The boss battles where easy but good and fun to play, The story is interesting (more than good enough) and the characters seem to have potential (wasn't much dialogue so can't say for sure)
