Transiruby

Really solid Metroidvania with a lot of character, but don't expect anything overly deep from the mechanics or story.

Overall, while not something I'd recommend to those who like hardcore Metroidvanias, those who like the Metroidvania style with a bit more linearity, and a good mix of puzzle solving and platforming along with combat might appreciate it.

This can be a challenging achievement, but the game is well balanced with its difficulty.

Because despite the narrative being a trainwreck and the late-game being a soul-crushing slog, those clever freeze-puzzles, the stunning pixel art, the incredible soundtrack, the tight controls, and the lovely yuri moments are genuinely brilliant!

The artstyle fits the simplicity of the game, yeah, we may have seen a lot of pixel graphics lately, but it goes really well here, and there's some "artistic liberties" (in other words, not limited to the capabilities of the NES), so background elements glow and in general look pretty nice to look at.

The story isn't a big focus, but the main character, the cyborg Siruby is cute with her own personality.
