Will note, there's a lot to learn but once you have gotten a hang out of the mechanics, it's really fun.

Unlike many strategy games that emphasize complex graphics or detailed unit management, DEFCON uses a simple, stylized interface with muted colors and clean lines, which paradoxically intensifies the cold, mechanical nature of nuclear conflict and highlights the devastating human cost beneath the strategic calculations.

The ambient soundtrack, with its sparse, ominous tones, further heightens this sense of dread and inevitability.

DEFCON’s multiplayer mode elevates the experience by introducing elements of diplomacy, betrayal, and alliance-building.

Playing with friends is really fun, I have not ventured into online but I need to get my skills up before that, mainly I make the AI battle it out in different scenarios.
