Beyond the gameplay, its graphics and music also nail this vibe of very classic yet not potentially offputting, having a great mix of bright colors and pitch black backgrounds that give the feeling of an early arcade game, while having tasteful use of the occasional extra animation frame or two, smooth framerate physics/particles, and screenshake that add an extra punch.
