What players think
The recurring themes across 299 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
A short but sweet game action-oriented RTS that allows you to play it on your own pace, either enjoying the audiovisual experience and the story or blazing through stuff once you know what you can do.
I really like challenging gameplay and situations, but the last 4 levels are pretty insane and you will have to restart them a lot to know what to do, especially because of those flying enemies, which are just almost impossible to hit with most the units you have.
People often talk about timeless design and this is definitely a game with one; the graphics were simple and blocky even almost 20 years ago but the retro visuals look still great and the game itself runs great even on modern PCs thanks to developer support.
The soundtrack is okay.
The game does have a well-executed Linux port, which I very much appreciate.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
