Some quality of life features (sound or visual cues) for mini-games would go a long way in making this game more playable.
but as a v-pet enjoyer, its been such a fun experience to play around with. the graphics are fun, the nods to older generations of v-pets are great, and the soundtracks is A+++.
Long story short, if you like to just have relaxing games and have them playing in the background while you just do your work then this is a perfect match for you.
Nanomon feels like the first one to actually understand why Tamagotchi was popular and fun and implement those things, while also building upon things that maybe Tamagotchi wasn't able to do, like journeying to new areas and exploring, combat, mail, mods, friend battles, and more.
