Like other rogue*lites*, Rogue Voltage lets you unlock new equipment, playable characters, and other benefits that persist after game end, so losing does not mean starting over completely each play-through.
Honestly, you went way too far with locking certain features behind progression, so I hacked the game.
I also find the art style very charming and cute!
Atmosphere is good and moody, soundtrack is pretty boring though.
