What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I would say it is one of Depersonalization's greatest strengths along with its charming pixel aesthetic and freedom of exploration to truly make you in charge of what you would like to do in each module's story.
Even though the actual investigative gameplay is fairly minimal outside of searing through every nook and cranny and speaking to NPCs to unlock different story paths, the experience is worthwhile.
+ Beautiful visuals and character sprites.
+ Soothing soundtrack that doesn't break the immersion of the game.
However, it has been years that players have been hoping for proper English translation across its modules, and I sincerely hope they address this problem soon after they optimize their mobile and multiplayer features in CN.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
