Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer

It's nicely and subtly written, and Kathy quickly becomes a more believable and complex character than before, with a genuinely emotional ending that truly leaves me wanting more of these characters.

The production values are high, with incredibly beautiful pixel graphics, good actors and great soundtrack, topping the already good prequel, but it's in the gameplay that it really separates itself from its predecessor.

The notebook mechanic is one of the best implementations I've seen in the genre.

As a fan of pixel art, I absolutely loved the visuals — detailed, beautiful, and consistent.

Amazing story, great visuals, moderate difficulty makes it not boring but not too challenging so you don't get stuck.

The game mechanic is the same kind of investigative interrogations and minor inventory puzzles, but sharper: the detective work is nicely integrated into the interaction with the environment/suspects, and the challenges are perfectly balanced.
