What players think
The recurring themes across 54 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
After playing so many games that either take their sweet time with giving the player any challenge whatsoever, or immediately throwing bs at the player before they even manage to grasp the core mechanics of the game they are playing - I found the difficulty progression in this game so masterfully done that it doesn't once feel like the game is too easy and should increase it's difficulty, or it did a difficulty spike out of nowhere causing incredible frustration.
I love virtually everything about this game: the art style, the music, the bosses, all of it!
The art and sound design are very impressive; TWWWR's desolate, bizarre world is convincingly sold to the player by a beautiful pixel art style that contrasts bright colors and vibrant flora with moody shadows and decaying metal structures, and a soundtrack that keeps you immersed with ambient synths and droning bass tones.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
