The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series

season one was phenomenal. i fully understood the hype of this game after finishing it. the story, character writing and ending brought me to tears, which surprised me considering i had no prior investment in this franchise.

Michonne uses this mechanic to its advantage, using it to immerse the player into the absolute action-hero that is portrayed throughout.

The graphics have held up well, with the striking stylized visuals serving as a defining part of the game’s identity.

and the value is absurd on top of it. i got this game when it was 90% off. over 50 hours of narrative for $4.50, less than a coffee, in that iconic comic book shading and an immersive soundtrack (“grim ranger” by lungs and limbs had me sitting with my emotions long after the credits finished rolling).

It is one of those few games that really hits that emotional spot and where the character design is mastered so well that you believe in their authenticity.

This not only contributes to an immersive experience, but also allows for more engaging puzzles and even combat scenes beyond point-and-click controls.
