- The story is extremely generic and boring, if you're only interested in playing campaign mode I'd skip this for now.
But, I have to emphasize, this is a cool game despite my constant griping, I finished it despite having a gazillion other games I want to play, this was just somehow easy to get into, I might even boot it up whilst waiting for other faction campaigns to get some gold stars because of the meta progression for unit production/destruction & starting units/buildings which was a fun enough little incentive to replay the missions with more power which is always fun to accumulate.
- Graphics are nothing to write home about, but the simplistic graphics means the game runs smooth as butter, and they still look very good!
They had their own online service (called Westwood Online), they've pushed into multiplayer territory and they had popular games in the most of the popular genres (FPS, ARPG and, naturally, RTS).
Petroglyph improved co-op and made it the main dish this time (the UI really wants you to play with friends now), they've added dailies, similar to what we had in, say, Age of Empires (a thing that I always believed to be stupid), there's a survival mode, TV mode (similar to what we had in C&C at some point), etc.
I would love for a more expanded soundtrack, even if it's a DLC.
