The romance/friendship system was fun, and I enjoyed the fluidity of the relationships between the characters.
the romance options seem so forced since the timeline in game is 2 weeks and then ur supposed to leave. it doesn't seem natural, u just get the option of saying something friendly or flirty and that's it. the gameplay leaves much to be desired, ik its a visual novel, but instead of being able to mess up the potions on purpose for every order, it just says ur missing something until u get it right, so the only way to mess up is just to not do the order. the tarot cards do nothing except teach u a mechanic that u may or may not do depending on if u romance a character or not, and it seems like the ones u unlock can be used for decoration on ur other desk. the decorations aren't much either, it doesn't really add anything to the game other than "wahoo i personalized this area kind of" with v slim options. the crafting is kind of neat in the sense of needing the correct ingredients and such, however the menu can get bugged and the grimoire contents will be on the screen but the book itself will not be. and it's just floating over everything in the way that u have to spam click out of it. the dialogue options leave much to be desired, it feels like it impacts the game very little. i also don't like how u don't get to curate the personality of the main character even a little bit. every dialogue option ends up with u being a smug witty lil back talker kind of, and even when u have the option of not doing something ur character will just do it anyways. it sucks the fun out of having choices, i can understand doing that every once and awhile but having it happen majority of the time where it really doesn't matter what u choose is frustrating.
the art style is v cute, the inclusiveness is nice, i like the character customization.
It is a soundtrack of instrumentals that are charming.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
