Geneforge 1 - Mutagen

So far the story has been great, the factions I have met so far are the Awakened and Obeyers, and the characters I have been interesting and clearly have their own motivations and goals.

What I really liked so far is that each zone has a purpose even when you don't have a quest to do in that area and that you get rewarded for general exploration (via Lore, Skill/Spells from Canisters, Loot, etc.) I would recommend this game to people who like reading, crpgs, and don't mind some old school graphics.

Rather than merely remastering the 2001 classic, Spiderweb reimagines it through updated visuals, expanded writing, refined mechanics, and new areas, while preserving the core identity that made Geneforge a cult favorite.

The Guardian, think of them as the warrior class high in physical combat and can still summon creature fairly well but are lacking in magic capabilities.

The original mechanics were a little unbalanced in the 2001 version, but the remaster smooths out a lot of that and reworks the interface to be more streamlined.

I've sunk some decent time in to this (on normal difficulty) and have had to rethink some spots but haven't come across any game breaking difficulty.
