While the art style has gotten a shift that is a bit of a downgrade, this is not reflected in the actual presentation, such as character designs, voice acting and more than anything the soundtrack, all these are S+++ tier and deliver in stride.

the combat, graphics, and story are improvements from the first. being able to explore all the environments in santa destroy is cool too, and the side content is much more engaging. playing as henry and shinobu is also fun.
