What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It definitely feels like you are part of the world where you can interact and help characters in that world.
Some of that boils down to Souldiers' distinct features, such as: the different starting classes, offering replayability and variety; the RPG leveling system, ensuring a consistent sense of character progression; ubiquitous items, enhancing one's weapons/builds in various ways.
Short: Absolutely stunning blend of modern metroidvania and souls-like combat, with a gorgeous pixel art style, but can be extremely challenging and punishing (I've only played on the regular 'soldier' difficulty as a caster so I can't comment on the harder or easier difficulty and as other classes yet).
Varies from "oh that's nice" to "How much is the OST for this one, you say?"
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
