The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Oh, and its a multiplayer game I'm pretty sure.
I could imagine a version of this with a blank world and tuned down graphics being able to run well on a Chrome Book, and it could be a great way to teach kids about the basics of mechanical engineering and coding.
I hope to see the developers look at games like scrap mechanic and give the player motivation by adding some sort of story or fun open ended challenges in the future.
performance was quite poor in the tutorial level, with framerates struggling even on lowest graphics, but outside of that it's been alright. options menu is pretty sparse.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
