I'm a little over two hours in as of the time of writing this, and so far I'm having a real good time with After Us.
Okay, so the game so far is good in terms of gameplay, a bit of figuring out where to go, nice exploration, BUT, the optimization is not too good.
The visuals are absolutely fantastic, motion feels smooth and reactive, and the various movement mechanics available to the player all feel great to use.
This really is an absolute beautiful game, fantastic soundtrack but my god the gameplay feels like it was made in a test bed and then they just never adapted it to the levels.
The songs, the graphics and controller support is very well implemented.
Update 7/5/2023: Runs beautifully on my Steam Deck 512GB model.
