I did love that, in lieu of descriptive clarity, one could still notice certain mechanics to certain details (i.e. speed being "speed on the tactical map", pertaining to literally any manner of landbased interaction/encounter, as compared to campaign map speed, uniquely a trait of the explorer captain archetype, influencing world map speed).

Furthermore, the atmosphere is extremely well made--you feel like you are on the high seas with the wonderful visuals and the spot on sound effects (music, sailing, cannon fire, swords hitting!).
