What players think
The recurring themes across 136 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
A simple but charming game, however it really feels like only one character's plot line actually got really fulfilled in any way, and the sudden fantastical elements in what was otherwise a very grounded game definitely gave me whiplash.
The gameplay is so simple that it lost my interest after just a couple of minutes, but that's not all there is on offer--there's a visual novel component, after all, so 1980 has a proper, full-fledged storyline!
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
