What players think
The recurring themes across 182 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
For the main story the riddles are not too difficult but also not too easy.
Gameplay-wise, the puzzles strike a nice balance — not too easy, not too hard — and the game doesn’t hold your hand too much, which I really appreciate.
It’s a beautiful action-adventure with a unique and gorgeous art style, but what really blows me away is the music, the soundtrack is an absolute highlight for me and fits every moment perfectly.
The game’s pixel art is gorgeous and the sound design is fantastic, even if some sounds strongly reminded me of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and older Pokémon games.
Just finished Spindle on the Steam Deck, and I have to say — it’s such a charming little gem.
I would recommend playing it with a gamepad.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 4 sampled reviews and is not shown.
