Story Rich
i wanted to like this game, but it was unintuitive and frankly not very enjoyable. it is free and a short game, but i do not think it is worth playing. the art style is nice and easy on the eyes. however, the gameplay is unsatisfying. the main character is irritating and naive and having him be who you see the world through instead of alice was a missed opportunity at best. she is supposed to be the focus and since you play her partner you are supposed to be concerned for her, but as i was playing i couldn't help but feel fed up with this character i didn't know beyond her foolish and erratic behaviour.
in a way, i'm glad it was extremely short-- it was an emotionally exhausting read, after all. if you're an achievement hunter, the gameplay itself also feels like a tedious grind. i'd totally recommend it to every masochist willing to emotionally hurt themselves over a story that barely lasts an hour. or, well, if you legitimately just want to dip your feet into knowing what the experience is like.
