What players think
The recurring themes across 299 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The gameplay sequence is to climb a randomly generated map of a mountain (with some basic forms, so its not possible to get a non-passable level) in a form of hexes with different types of terrains, using resource management (you have 5 resources, sanity, warmth, oxygen, energy and health), and interacting with encounters.
But if there was a sequel, think Frostpunk like snow and realism graphics, then that would be a huge title to play again and again.
And the sound design rests somewhere between paranoid and clingy with unnerving howls, groans and cracks giving way.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
