What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There's a decent amount of characters and they play differently from each other, a nice variety of stages (standard tournament layouts and non traditional stages), and a nice tutorial /very small single player mode you can go through to get used to the mechanics.
+) Base gameplay is very good, a nice blend of platform fighting and traditional fighting elements.
After the variety of weird attempts to get Icons: Combat Arena off the ground and ultimately botching several releases, I was actually very excited to play Rushdown Revolt, which is effectively a soft reboot and second attempt at launching this IP.
+) Netcode is smooth, when the lobbies work
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
