What players think
The recurring themes across 142 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here.
The graphics and sound design in Dirge are simply stunning.
In the free version, you get a decent selection of characters and weapons, all of which play differently, but only 1 monster and 3 maps.
Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves co-op horror games and I'm excited to see where it goes!
The overall aesthetic of the game is super noiry and fun, the characters are all grizzled toughs with tragic backstories, the music is atmospheric, the voice acting is campy in all the right ways, it's fun.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
