However, while I understand Devs want players to fully explore the map, many important entrances and quest items are too hard to find.
The art direction is gorgeous, bringing visceral painterly textures to beautifully animated 3D assets, creating the illusion of a canvas in motion.
But besides that, the systems and gameplay is fantastic.
When you're playing co-op, bosses actually swap out their moves for different abilities than what you’d see solo, and you can tag-team enemies to trigger elemental combos like Fire and Lightning for huge explosions.
On one hand, the game can be very enjoyable with fun combat, charming art and great sound design.
- But the gameplay issues, multiplayer QoL and lack of FPS optimization are taking the fun away.
