The sense of exploration, while not knowing what lies around the corner is exceptional in the game.
The story was decent, I'd say it was kinda standard for a souls-like but told in a manner that felt more direct and intentional.
Combat can get hectic, but for the most part, you always feel in control.
An incredible, haunting soundtrack composed by Mili - full of somber piano and vocal tracks that perfectly match the tragic atmosphere.
Around the halfway point, I was concerned that the game would wind up being too easy overall, but thankfully the difficulty rises quite quickly after a certain point (to be clear, it is going from “too easy” to “above average” difficulty, and no farther), and does not let up for the rest of the game.
A really good metroidvania with a beautiful art style, amazing music and interesting idea of using spirits of enemies to do the fighting.
