What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The puzzles are MOSTLY very thoughtful (except a few in the 2nd half that are god-awful) and the writing is usually good, except for the final boss cutscene where the protagonist appears not to know a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing!
Devs for this game were definitely passionate about the outcome they wanted, feels like they were designing it for a crowd from the past that didn't have a platform back then to speak up to the industry and devs what they wanted/didn't. but with modern tools and upscaled graphics/physics, and appealing to new crowds as well.
A lot of people suggest and prefer playing this with a controller, but I played the game with mouse & keyboard, and it was completely fine.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
