Pretty fun cute-em-up that gives a spin on the previous games by having several different characters that all play differently.
Big variety of playstyles with truly different characters, tons of loving references to Success and Saizensen games (Psyvariar, Umihara Kawase, etc.), satisfying and irresistible scoring mechanics, a humongous amount of stages with a stage selection system keeping a brisk pace and length, charming art style, and a rich soundtrack full of awesome tunes.

I personally like playing as Appli due to the similar gameplay style of 2 and Boomerang, but the other characters are no slouches either 😭.
The $20 price-tag and Steam Deck support working out of the box is the only thing that is really keeping all of these downsides remotely tolerable.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
