What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Recommended if you have any interest in broader film culture, world history and experimental story-telling in videogames.
Gradually, as you play, you will encounter prompts (extra-filmic sound effects and vibration on the controller) that require you to scrub the film backwards and forwards to unlock "hidden scenes" which tie into the central story of the game.
This game is very creative in both its storytelling techniques and its visuals, but at the end of the day, it just fails in the 'being a good game' department.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
