Maybe more complex squad management, more intricate maps with more ways to approach objectives, more weapons, and robust stealth mechanics could all make for a really great sequel.

So right from the get-go, the tone is notably tongue-in-cheek despite the dire circumstances and it doesn’t change track throughout the story, giving a surprisingly balance between drama and light-hearted pulp and it doesn’t go full-throttle in either direction with a very engrossing atmosphere all throughout.

What Freedom Fighters shine in the most is its soundtrack, composed by Jesper Kyd.

Despite its age, the visuals still manage to capture a gritty urban atmosphere.

I love how you the game encourages you to strategize your approach to every level, as completing an objective in one location may either give you more ammo or weapons to use, or make it easier/possible to complete an objective in another area.

If anything, failing a couple times here and there is actually a good sign of balanced difficulty for me.
