What players think
The recurring themes across 274 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Sounds very familiar, and if there is a downside to Zefyr it is in the writing and character department: the narrative starts out as a Wind Waker nod and then remains so casual and care-free it borderlines on bothersomely throwaway, the characters have come from a How to Draw Manga book and the writing feels like it hasn't quite retained its nuances when going through the language barrier into English.
Graphically, I think it was beautiful for what it is, not top-tier AAA graphics but very good, especially when you consider the entire game was created by 1 person.
Zefyr's gameplay is straightforward for anyone who's played its inspirations: traverse the open sea, explore the islands, run through dungeons, collect the collectibles, face a couple of simple bosses.
Settings & features include; display options, resolution, quality settings, VSync, audio controls, language, settings for the camera and aim sensitivity, auto camera options, and the ability to rebind keys for keyboard, mouse and controller.
The puzzles were engaging and well thought out but not too difficult that someone age 10+ would be able to complete them but older audiences will still have fun and enjoy also.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
