What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There is no single player content, the arcade/story mode is a joke with a classic bs SNK boss at the end that's no fun to play (although you will have to if you actually want to unlock stuff and want achievements), just a generic suped up unfair boss character.
Unfortunately SNK is infamous for making extremely fun games, with some of the best gameplay you can offer in the fighting game genre, but making terrible products overall when it comes to aspects outside of gameplay.
In-game graphics are alright and the character sprites reminds me of comic-books.
The stages, ranging from tranquil natural settings to more ominous battlegrounds, contribute to a strong sense of atmosphere, while the soundtrack complements the action with a mix of traditional instrumentation and dramatic cues.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
