Rather than simply remastering the graphics, the game also includes bug fixes and rebalancing, as well as a fully featured level editor with workshop support.
Unlike their earlier plaftormers, the hitboxes here are much more forgiving, and the gameplay more smooth flowing.
I share the opinion with others about the music not fitting – The original game had no music, so Emberheart Games included an 8-bit NES style soundtrack, seemingly as an afterthought.
On the other hand, you can just as easily choose and play what the gaming community has created, rate their efforts, and enjoy in more than 200 custom made levels at the time of writing this review.
It uses Unity so the framerate is consistent lacking the jittery appearance that appears in the original with DOSbox.
It includes other modern niceties, too, such as achievements, difficulty levels and controller support.
