Story and characters
Players who bring up Story and characters mostly praise it.
this is a VAST improvement over the first game. it's still glitchy, broken, poorly optimized, and even crashed my entire system once, but the enemies are much smarter and are genuinely FUN to evade/mess around with. the map is far more interesting, with an "open world" and more varied architecture. the overall presentation is quite a lot better too. the characters and environments all look very good, the visual style and lighting are very pleasant. the puzzles are actually coherent and don't require you to consult a guide on youtube. it's still not a great game, and is unequivocally NOT worth $40 USD (i got it for $10) but hello neighbor 2 is a much better game than the original, and i'm glad to see it.
