What players think
The recurring themes across 196 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The visuals are very nice and you're always looking at varied environments with lots of fun characters.
The gameplay is well.. it's match 3.
The graphics are pretty cute.
I honestly have no complaints about the music and it's a pretty memorable soundtrack.
If you have someone to play with, there is also a co-op mode, as well as a quick play mode that will let you choose between certain levels that you can just jump right in.
+ not only is it very inclusive with regards to its cast of characters and writing (so far every character I have encountered to my knowledge has been femme or nonbinary--an extremely welcome change from the hyper-masculinity that I sometimes need a break from in media writ large)--it's also very inclusive with regards to accessibility options for those sensitive to flashing lights (one of my best friends has seizures, to our knowledge not activated by flashing lights, but it's good to be safe--plus it's good if you want to play at night without straining your eyes, so welcome regardless) and folks who may find its match 3 gameplay difficult reflexively. it has a very "come as you are" sort of air to it, which belies an incredible sense of confidence that the developers' artistic visions won't come crumpling down cuz you didn't have a strobe light blasted in your face apropos of nothing, or cuz someone is more interested in being stimulated by puzzles than challenged by strict timers.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 4 sampled reviews and are not shown.
