I haven't breached the upper levels of complexity, but there's certainly a few dozen hours worth of gameplay for those who want it.
I would argue that this game might be more fun if you don't have a prior understanding of modular programming concepts or circuit design, and you might stumble through the first 30 hours of the game with absolute spaghetti designs and organically learn a few optimization concepts along the way.
The clean visuals, smooth progression, and clever mechanics make automation feel rewarding without being overwhelming.
The nostalgia comes mostly from the graphics and the fairly repetitive (but good) soundtrack.
Managed to 100% the game, it didn't take 146 hours (current play time) most of that was leaving the game paused or in the menu as I was usually just jumping in to play twenty minutes here and there in the background to doing other things.
