Unique and unlike most other games I've played; I guess the closest comparison is "No Rest for the Wicked," although this gameplay is much less frantic and more thoughtful and methodical, often requiring deep thought on what your next steps should be.

The controls are responsive even with a gamepad and like the best games in this genre, when I fail and fall in combat, it's usually, obviously my fault and nothing to do with the game.
