The writing in this game is hilarious!
The core shooting gameplay, with the running and gunning, the weapon upgrades, and the open combat that emphasizes movement instead of seeking cover, that's all perfectly fun.
Some of these non-fps sections are also mandatory, such as a mine-cart section (with its own optional shoot-all-targets challenge) and a bare bones vertical shmup that shows up once per episode.
Graphics-wise the game is pleasant looking, but does not exactly push Unreal Engine 5 to its limit as it does not make sure of any lumen/RT features.
To be fair, most of this could be due to voice acting (see above).
Like so many other games, it's seems impossible to get a solid 120+ fps out of this one (usually an engine/optimization issue).
