What makes Can of Wormholes so great is its flexible difficulty -- for a genre that's normally pretty restrictive, this feels like it could be both accessible and challenging to lots of people.
Gameplay Each level plays like a sokoban-like game where the controllable character takes the shape of a “snake”, i.e., you control the head that is followed by a tail of variable length.
Also, some of the images feel like red herrings and don't make much sense in terms of what you do (only part of the story, I guess).
settings are available anytime. no resolution options, windowed mode is resizable but switching between windowed and full screen resets window size and position, as does restarting the game. toggles for v-sync, anti-aliasing, shadows and reflections, volumes for master and music, no separate sfx slider. there are a few languages and 3 save slots to keep progress separate, but no brightness setting and the beginning is really dark. there might be other sections like that later too.
The art style was cute and very legible, and I had lots of fun exploring new mechanics.
