- Interesting gameplay mechanic that I haven't seen before
The game is high quality: the art is charming, all the character designs are excellent, there are a wide variety of enemies and bosses with clever attacks, the soundtrack is nice, sound design is well-done, environments are immersive.
The game offers some nice graphics and environments, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same and has a really great aesthetic
The intelligent and creative enemy design is definitely the star of the show here, which is why it's weird to see how incredibly boring the only three human characters are.
i've seen some complaints about the controls, and while personally i think it's serviceable i can understand where people are coming from and the issues become more apparent when the game demands more of you in its hardest difficulty, precision becomes a pain and it can often feel like your deaths weren't very fair. alongside this i think it becomes pretty draining to play for long periods of time, i played on controller which seems like the better option of the two however it still became pretty uncomfortable to constantly be flicking the analog stick about to move and dart and weave, although this isn't a major issue as the game itself is really short and levels are bite size, and even the speedrun mode pauses its timer when you pause or are in the menu allowing you to give yourself time to rest which is appreciated
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
