The character animation is expressive and fits the characters well (I did notice though that almost all of Spongebob's idle animations were reused from Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated, not saying this is a bad thing though), and each world is packed with detail and vibrancy, some more than others but still beautiful nonetheless.
All of the character costumes are true to the show and serve as nostalgic fanservice for fans (Costumes have no gameplay effect other than cosmetic appearance).
For one of the rare occasions in history, a developer made an unreal game with stylized, show-faithful graphics and it actually runs smooth due to the genuine effort of a real optimization.
The combat, while simple, is satisfying enough thanks to well-timed sound effects, snappy animations, and varied enemy types that require different approaches.
