On top of that, the promise of a more cinematic and story-focused experience—something the mainline games have always been somewhat lacking in—made me go into this game with very high expectations.

It would increase replayability in the game and allow for things like a new game + mode, instead of just making the monsters harder, this would be sort of an ultimate challenge with a sliding difficulty.

Also since we are here, a thing that I can't stress enough how good this game executes is the decision making you make when in combat.

First up visuals and audio are high quality as expected of the developer and franchise.

While the co-op quests are extremely helpful to get an early start with your monsties collection and filling up the “field guides” (built-in monster database), the PVP is not so much.

Completed the whole campaign on Steam Deck with no crash or bugs.
