It makes for this risk reward gameplay system where it feels good to fly through a section that would normally take longer with the safer option.

When it comes to actually applying all this to actual combat scenarios, the game handles it very well.

While the sound design is very effective, and the majority of sounds are pleasing and satisfying, there are a few sounds that are just too loud and poorly balanced, such as the "BZRRRRRT" sound that the special blade attacks uses.

The game has a pretty smooth difficulty spike but does it really ramp up on the final stages.

The core gameplay is fantastic, the music is excellent, the story(so far, I'm only past one boss at time of writing) is interesting, even if the way it's told is less than ideal, and the graphics are solid.
