The Conquest of Go

What sets Conquest of Go apart is the campaign mode, which softens what for beginners might otherwise be a state of disorienting confusion during matches, by using various forms of limited engine assistance to keep the game interesting.

This approach gives players a clear sense of progression while preserving the intellectual depth that has made Go one of the world's most respected strategy games.

Multiple AI opponents offer a broad range of difficulty levels, while advanced study tools allow deeper exploration of strategies and board positions.

The game respects the traditions of the board game while presenting them through a modern and accessible interface.

The UI is clean, the art style is simple, and it has nice animations that help beginners learn (e.g. if a group of stones only has 1 liberty, the stones are shown as somewhat beaten-up, and when you connect stones, it animates a bridge-like connection forming between them).

Using an existing go server, OGS, for multiplayer games is the only way to go, in my mind.
