What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Most of what I've heard have been surface level jokes about the main characters and their sexual orientation.
Among the dozens of mediocre copies of the influences that make up the game—and despite the very apparent limitations of its tiny budget—Signalis, with visuals reminiscent of the Nintendo DS games, at least manages to bring a strong sense of style and a presentation mature enough to stand out naturally among its peers, even without betting on innovation or subverting clichés.
Throuple this with the exceptional audio design and you have a ménage à trois that'll leave you satisfied, though scratched and bloody.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
